Saturday, June 14, fifteen teams showed up at the eBash in Terre Haute for the Brawl tourney. The day began with a free-for-all tourney, awarding $100 to the top three teams. After that, the 2v2s began after the seeding was randomly selected.

5-7-2008 Video Game Suds

Most of you who know me have met my son Zander. To say that he is a video game enthusiast would probably be an understatement. He LOVES everything about video games and his favorite games rotate across many different genres.

He grew up watching shows like Spongebob Squarepants and of course Janean and I loved watching it with him. Spongebob is such an innocent figure and is always getting in trouble because he is so naive. One of our favorite episodes was when SpongeBob got "The Suds" or basically was sick with flu-like symptoms. He looked horrible, his eyes were bloodshot, everything was droopy on his face and he talked real slow. Our family loves to use the term to describe people that are grouchy, sick or sad. More than a few times you might have heard us say "Maruku has the suds" for example or "Shalack sure has a case of the suds".

Well, I have the Video Game Suds. I have been playing the original LOTR:BFME with Janean and Zander quite a bit leading up to this Saturday's tournament but I don't have any game right now that captures my interest and passion. I haven't actually felt this way since eBash started. There has always been at least one game that I can look forward to sitting down to play. There is usually a game that I start playing at night and then try to decide if I should go to bed or play just a little longer.
